Meet The Bankers:
John Robilotto

Vice President, Branch Manager

My name is John Robilotto. I am the Branch Manager, the First National Bank LI in the Sayville Branch.

Why are Community Banks important?
The reason we feel community banks are so important in the world we live in today is truly the level of service that we provide to our customers and the relationships that we build with them over time. We really try to identify and help them understand what their needs are in regard to banking and how we can help them become successful and maximize their time spent

Describe how you helped a client grow their business?
One of our clients that we recently worked with had several questions in regard to FDIC insurance. The first thing we did was access our resources to be able to identify what FDIC insurance him and his company were entitled to. We realized that he was able to bring other assets over to our bank because we were absolutely be sure that we could ensure that the FDIC Insurance that he had covered everything here at the First National Bank LI.

Why is personal banking still important in the digital world?
Personal banking is so important in the digital world. Nothing can replace the face-to-face contact or a phone call with somebody you personally know and understand and have built trust with over the years. The digital world for many of our clients can seem overwhelming. That's why we're here. If there's ever a question in regard to anything to do with internet or online banking, they know they can pick up the phone and contact me or one of my staff members directly to get the right answer.

Word of Advice:
My best word of advice to anybody going into business or somebody who is already in business, especially for themselves. Number one, do what you love. Nothing is more important. The old saying that you'll never work a day if you do what you love is really true. The next best advice I would give is to reach out to your local banker, get to get to know the way they work, and find the banker or the company that you feel would be the very best fit. It'll always make your day go better.
